Nice, I like it

I find a couple of the "lines" in the clouds in the upper left to be slightly distracting.  But in general, I like the way the wispy cloud lines draw my eye to the subject.

The clouds make this look like a long exposure, but the EXIF says it was taken at 1/250 s.  Is that correct?

The ‘lines’ upper left are contrails, mostly from jets traveling from LAX  to San Fran or Seattle

Re: Pine Stand

Nice work, an  unusual group of pines.  I  noticed there is a Cambria Pines Lodge on the map.

I'm a New Yawk boy but Cambria California is second home - two months winter & summer. Of course these days I'm grounded due to the covid situation but hope matters clear up ASAP. The Cambria Pines Lodge is one of many fine lodges in the area. This pic was taken on the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve - a gorgeous track of 443 acres with trails through the pines - pure magic for me and photographically both a joy and a challenge. A Cali Central Coast road trip (Santa Barbara through Big Sur) is strongly recommended.

I used to live in the SF Bay area for many years...and many years ago.  Never knew about Fiscalini.  Will look it up next time.

Thanks for the info

I agree that the contrails are a bit distracting, but I love the contrast between the sky and the clouds. Did you use a polarizer?
