Hi!

Odd question / request here:

My father-in-law just moved and gave me a Maxxum 5 that's been in his closet gathering dust for 15 years. It's in mint condition and I'm shooting film for the first time. However, this is a small body camera, too small for my hands, and the CR2 batteries are annoying.

If anyone has a BP-200 grip in a junk pile from a body that died, or knows where I could get a grip used, I'd greatly appreciate it. I've had a search configured on eBay for two months now with no luck. I know I can swap out the body for something else and use his lenses, but I thought it would be nice if I could continue to shoot with this one.

Even if you see this six months from now, there's a good chance I won't have found one:)

Thanks!

Hi,

I am also looking for the BP-200 as well since a few years back. But never see one put up for sale anywhere.

regards

They used to come up on eBay reasonably often , but I haven't seen one for a while .

Why not set up a search with email notifications ?

That's what I usually do .

Set it up for worldwide , not just your country , postage won't cost much as there only light .

I've got a couple of them I've had a good few years , I think I had to keep an eye open for them too .

Keep looking and good luck !

I have seen one *once* about a month ago on eBay. The seller was in the UK and wanted $100 + shipping. About that time I came to the realization that I wanted a film body with a better viewfinder, so I'm now shooting an Elan 7N. The Maxxum 5 is now a shelf decoration:/

lol, you missed the Maxxum 5 with BP-200 that was auctioned in UK in October, and went for GP 30 ! This one. So they are around.

£30 WITH a camera ? You can't complain at that !

They still come up from time to time .

As I said earlier if you do a search on ebay and save it , then set to it to " subscribed" , you get an email as soon as one comes up .

I've got 2 or 3 of them , I've got a couple of Dynax 5's and an all black Minolta alpha sweet II ( the Asian model ) , so they all have grips .

I think I paid between £10 and £15 each for them . That was a few years ago though .

Hiya,

I have just found a brand new one of these when clearing out a drawer.

Hello, you wouldn't possibly still have this would you? I've noticed the person who first inquired hasn't replied on this thread; if they are no longer interested would you mind selling it to me? Sorry, I would have sent you a private message but I'm unable to at the moment because I just now created this account to reply to this thread

Hi,

Yes I do still have this and in the same position as you, created an account to reply to the post. Only found the post when I searched for info on the grip after finding it in my drawer.

I have email updates enabled now, so should not miss any more posts.

I'd definitely be interested in purchasing the grip, I'm just not sure exactly what it's worth/how to go about buying it from you.

I'm still looking for a BP-200
Did you not reply to ELSELS ?

Or was the asking price not to your liking ?

They do still come up at reasonable/ cheap prices , but not regularly.

I just saw this thread, and was wondering if any of you are still looking for a Minolta BP-200. I acquired one this week. It had a bit of corrosion on one terminal, but I cleaned it up pretty good. I don't have a camera to test it on, but I'm quite sure it will work.

I'd take $30 dollars for it + $5.00 shipping (from Sarasota, Florida)

I have over 3000 100% positive feedback over 23 years on Ebay (blumoon722)
