Rhodanthemum seem to attract flying insects. So I set up my chair a couple of feet away. Had a bit of fun using the ‘Fv’ mode to gain experience. I get a better success rate with BIF if I focus on the next flower for an anticipated visitor. Rapid burst mode, a prerequisite, and a little patience.

Stay safe

Thought I'd post some shots taken with the 18-150 + Raynox DCR-250 Close Up lens. This combo makes a very capable macro setup.

I love it because the Raynox clips (and unclips) so easily to/from the end of the lens, making it perfect for walk-around.

Mont Saint-Michel with my wife, a beautiful day of September. Not so much tourist now due to coronavirus.

I am posting here for the first time and I am very excited to share these photos. I have been lurking in here ever since I bought my M50 6 months back. You guys have taught me a lot regarding my camera and lens. I am a very casual and amateur photographer and want to contribute to this forum in my little way.

Awaiting a few thoughts and advice about my composition and lens quality.

Welcome to the forum. And thanks for your contribution. I like them all. 👍

(I would also have liked to see the rest of the dog, though. ;) )

Today? Bitterly cold here in central UK. Yesterday and the day before, one could feel the warmth of the sun on one's back. Pleasant enough to start pottering about in the garden after my winter hibernation.

One of my planters on a stand, needed urgent medical attention. Like me it was starting to fall apart at the joints. :-|

My work was over seen and under scrutiny by an English Robin. A curious and bold character who was not intimidated by our very close proximity. The camera was right by me in case this very opportunity presented itself. No masks were worn in the capturing of this sequence, with this my favourite of lenses.

Beautiful friends you have there :-) They deserve being captured with such camera!

Your shots are amazing.

I was happy for the most part with my EF-S 10-18 and 18-135mm IS STM lenses... that is, until a week ago I got the EF-M 11-22mm based on a lot of posts in the 'M' forum. It's so sharp and the images overall, noticeably better... I didn't realize the significant difference a really good lens makes! I thought my EF-S lenses were good.

Your full resolution photos above, and the previous post with the flowers (and everyone else's posts here --- thanks so much to all of you!) have convinced me that the EF-M 18-150 IS STM is clearly much better than the EF-S 18-135mm IS STM.

I ordered one today... will be eBaying the EF-S lenses!

I've come to realize, not only are the ergonomics and usability of the Canon mirrorless 'M' camera better suited to my purposes --- but access to the 'high quality' M lenses are a great justification as well.

Canon 'M' series is not just a journey, it's a destination...
