dual mode IBIS can save you money on a Gimbal, that’s easily $700 difference if you don’t need the external 4:2:2 10-bit 60 FPS 4K recording.

As good as the X-T3 was, this is a significant upgrade, and I’m glad Fuji finally gave me the camera I wanted.

Ibis can never replace a gimbal. Ibis can reduce small jitter but can't compensate stronger movements like walking with the camera. It's just not possible to to this in camera.

Fruit vendor with "slightly overweight" customers. Fujifilm X-T4, Fujinon 70-300.

Totally agree! The X-T4 is the best camera I've ever owned --baring a millenium Leica MP- that is the swan song of the brand. The T4, while lacking the superb OVF of the other X line, has such a refined design, boosted processor and unbeatable image quality that one no longer looks toward FX cameras.

Moving the interface to physical dials, levers and switches is genius!

Yanking the camera operation from the unfathomable pit of layer under layer of cryptic menus frees the user from having to dig on them to find a setting. Now you don't have to take your eye from the image if you know which button, lever or dial to move.

Furhermore, the results are beautiful!! The modest sized APS-C is so well developed and married to its processor that one will hardly need go looking on larger formats. For me it may prove the ultimate camera.

Cheers,

Jorge.

Never got to the D850, but used the D700 extensively. IMHO, that was the end of the line for the DSLR's. It must be an axiom by now that mirrorless is a better system than SLR; for some purposes, namely street photography an optical viewfinder (a la Leica, X-Pro, X100) is still advantageous, but it seems Nikon has missed the train in both and some other occasions. The Z line, for starters (or enders), was born crippled; optics are pathetic, the ergonomics of the cameras, appalling. OTOH, Fuji is riding on the crest of the wave, getting the signals right and delivering.

Best,

Jorge.

IBIS really helps in low light photography situations because you can use slower shutter speeds.

It comes with  a USB 3 charger with a 110 v. adapter in the U.S.

I’m appreciating that for my non-IS primes. Very helpful.

There’s genuinely so much about this body that is an upgrade over the X-T3, that I cannot fathom why some people don’t feel this is a worth while upgrade.

What part of flippy screen don't you get? Personally, heavier camera with ibis not required for my happiness. Gimbal not required, are you kidding? Check out past threads about this camera for tons more negative. But...as long as you are happy...:-)

I’ve seen plenty of people vlogging with them like that and no gimbal at all and no post processing stabilization either.

As far as the floppy screen goes, it works well and isn’t as clunky as the old format was to open and close on the dual rail system.  Plus, you can face the screen towards the body when not in use to protect the camera.   Yes I know this review is 2 years old, but I honestly just saw many of the comments.  The X-T4 is still being recommend as the best Hybrid camera for the money.

Doesn’t phase me, my iPad Pro charger is all I need to charge most of my devices and I think it’s great that I can use the same charger with the Fuji.

There are people doing that very thing and it is working well.  Obviously, the flexibility of the Gimbal has a benefit, but I was writing it more from the perspective of people wanting to vlog with it, and not so much film Hollywood quality movies.  The stabilization this thing offers cannot be matched by the likes of the Z6 (II) or the A7 3/C bodies, it truly is the best in class for that target group.
