More (and more) Samsung NX.

I was after NX30, to get it I had to buy all this. No problem, as it was $130. The 50-200 says OIS at the side, my old one is iFn. So which is the best? Maybe I'll sell the the oldest and the 210. On the other side, some may die, so nice to have plenty. - All seems to be ok. - I offered him $170 to get it, but he still said 130...

Hi  I would keep the NX30.  Flip screen, EVF. And it's performers better than a NX300.  You can always get a 210 or a 300 for almost nothing...  sell the 210 and buy a lens.. 30mm or a 45mm and watch how big an improvement it will do for your pictures

Maybe I was unclear. I bought it for NX30, got it cheap, it's here to stay. I got 30 and 45 mm. Three sellers got 85mm, will not sell, I think. Maybe I should offer them RX1?!

The seller is wondering how to get slow motion on NX1. I only know the red buttons are for video....:-D

You just have to change the framerate to either 60 or 120fps and then edit this in post.

NX 30 top wheel

is not working. Could I try some electronic spray, gently, or could that do some damage?

Is it not working at all or just a bit temperamental? I had issues with the dials on the NX1 and contact spray helped but only temporarily.

Not working at all. That's why I got it so cheap. Not much of a problem as the alternative is easy to use.

Same with my NX1. The only time it could be an issue is if I need to use manual mode (rarely do) and even then I could use the iFn button on the lens at a push.

I'm addicted to those cameras! My first was a NX2000, I paid something like US$50 in january, as I needed something more reliable and professional, I got a Sony A58 as a upgrade to my A200, but I always felt that NX2000 had a "something" more than the A58, if it wasn't the lack of viewfinder, low performance battery and microsd card, I would use it as main gear for sure!
Late this years I got my hands on a broken NX30, didn't took too much to fix it, but I managed to broke a flex cable, will be fixing it later. Anyway, I was able to see the true performance of full mirrorless in DSLR body, its incredible! And don't get me wrong, I've always been a Sony boy.

In my opnion, it felt better than a A77 in my hands! If Samsung haven't killed NX series, I would get a NX1 and every single model that they released.
This week I bought a NX300M almost new in box, the seller said it has less than 1000 clicks, all itens and box intacts. Still waiting it tho...
Anyway, Hi, my name is Gustavo Rodrigues, and I'm addicted in NX cameras. (this felt like a support group intro :-D)

Hi Gustavo, welcome to the support group! We know we have a strange attachment to NX equipment but at the same time I'm sure it's mostly rational.

Welcome Gustavo! Interesting story. Got five NX cameras now, maybe enough. First NX10 with 30mm for $100. Found it so easy to use. Then NX500 and so on. I'll keep on as long as they are working.

Haha!

You should try NX1 and NX500. Still ergonomically the best cameras in their specific classes.

NX30 and 300 are one 2-3 clicks behind.

The 300 had amazing build quality, I assume better than the 500 though.

Re: More (and more) Samsung NX.

Hey guys, I particularly would like to ask about something Gustavo as he fiddled with cameras interior. I bought an nx1 knowing it is in non working condition. Camera is stuck in update process, stage 3 is blinking, led blinks green for a while and then stops. Display is getting illumination but there is nothing on it but gray. As Gustavo wrote in one of his posts, nx line has pads on the motherboard which after shorting them should enable download mode. I did that but my pc wouldn’t discover new device. I launcher also is not finding the camera. Just wondering if there is way to sideload the firmware via command in the terminal. I remember doing that with android tv boxes. Or the motherboard is dead? Would be great to hear from you. Thanks

Filip
