Just sold my K-70 with only 2750 actuations and starting to miss it already!

I sold also my K-50 to raise money fort the K-New...hopefully!

These are some recent sunsets shot and the two very last shots I have taken with the

K-70.

Hope you like them.

Yes, nice photos.

I won't be selling my K50 as it is able to use AA batteries in a pinch. I am curious about the new K camera and will wait and see about its features and price, etc.

Thank Tom.

I feel good about the new K...!

However I still have the K-P and the GRIII which is a great little camera.

Thank you grcolts.

The AA battery option of the K-50 was my main reason to buy in the first place too.

Hi Dean,

do you mean you've placed an order for the K-...new?

Has CRK priced it already for pre-order?

You're a brave man. I take it the KP is going to step in as main body until the k-new arrives? At least your wont be doing without

I especially like this one:

...to this in 43 minutes

What I'd really like is a version of this where the tree-frond on the lower right was replaced by a similarly-sized silhouette of a person looking at the sky. He'd appear to be up standing on the roof, but the scene is just so dramatic/apocalyptic.

Just an idea if you like it--I don't know if you ever do that sort of image 'falsification.'

It's a great shot regardless.

I take it this is from the Aus fires?

Thank you, MRP.

Just like to let you know that I first tried to sell the KP instead of the K-70.

The K-70 is a great camera and gives faster AF (almost instantaneous)  with the 55-300 PLM lens than the KP although only marginally.

The KP rends just a little better IQ, again, only marginally.

As far as failing the aperture block I don't think should be a worry as it can be fixed quite easily if it happens.

Kind regards,

Ben.

You're right...The KP and the GRiii will certainly do for a while!

I like your idea about the person silhouette on the roof but I wouldn't know how to do it.

I use only a basic PhotoFiltre free program for my processing.

You're most welcome to do it for me though!!

I think the strong red colors were due to possible smoke from the prescribed seasonal burn-offs.

This shot and the previous one were taken from the top floor of my house (in Perth) through a window. the formation would be approximately 10Km away on the Indian Ocean coastline.

Cheers,

Ben

Re: Last shots with my K-70

Thank you , Ben . That IQ difference may be due to PRIME IV . Happy times .
