I'm not a fan of flippy screens, but other than that, the Lumix S5 is looking good. I'm only 2 lenses in with my Z6 and I'm waiting on the 40mm Pancake.

Nikon needs to give us a little more clarity in regards to the upcoming lenses. They put the 40mm on the roadmap long ago, nothing further than that. They announce a new camera and suprise us with a new unannounced kit zoom. Where are the lenses that are on the roadmap??

If Panasonic beats them to the 40mm pancake, that just might sway me to go over. Nikon better hope they don't announce one this week.

You’re seriously interested in a camera with even worse C-AF than the Nikon Z bodies???

If you are concerned about the availablity of pancake lenses NOW or SOON then might it be of interest to sell up your Z, forget the S5 and switch to Sony A7 - say the A7iii. After all they now have an established reasonably complete lens lineup - with the addition of Canon glass if you need that.  ( Oh - you can definitely use most Canon glass and probably a lot of Sony glass on the Z - I had forgotten that )

The Sony Zeiss 2.8/35 is, by all accounts, superb - and compact - to name one.

The Z system is fairly new and Nikon are getting some excellent lenses out at a good rate as far as I am concerned.

I also have a load of ( almost as good ) FX glass I can and do use via the FTZ interim....

Yes.

I buy a camera mainly for stills. I rarely use C-AF, if at all.

I also respect that you used "C-AF" and not just AF.

Some just want to discredit Panasonic autofocus as a whole on purpose, when it's S-AF is one of the best.
