Low GX7 Video Playback Volume

I haven't used my GX7 for video recording for a while. The video playback volume on the camera is low despite the volume control being at maximum. Playback volume is fine when I copy the file to a PC. Is this low playback volume typical of the GX7?

I presume volume is all the way up using the rear dial when playing back.

You can also check your speaker volume in case that is independent.

[MENU/SET] > [Setup] > [Speaker Volume]

As for general playback volume levels, others with GX7 would have to answer (I only have GX85).

Yes, the camera volume settings are at max.

Just a thought. The gx7 is a very old camera now, check the little microphone holes are not blocked with dust. Our home starred to go very quiet and dust blocking the speaker holes was the culprit.

Six years is not 'very old' for a camera by my standards. My 1968 Pentax Spotmatic still works.

Ah but 6 years of dirt is definitely old dirt

.. . except for new shoes every couple of years when mine have worn through, cameras - and occasional a lens to complete a range - are probably the only new things I ever buy. My 'new' car is 2007, only bought digital TV because they switched the analogue signal off. And horror of horrors my smartphone is 7 years old ...and I only bought that to trigger the GX7 remotely
