Olympus 100-400 sales start in Europe

It seems like german retailers are still waiting for their stock to arrive. However I noticed Olympus is running a trade-in promotion for the new lens: You can send in an Oly 75-300 and receive a €200 cashback when buying the new lens.

I just received the latest Olympus Newsletter in my mailbox, stating both the E-M10.4 as well as the Oly 100-400 being available as of now. I did a quick check at the official Olympus onlineshop and they do indeed have the lens in stock and ready to ship.
If you use the code "Musthave", you'll get a combined discount on the EE-1 dot sight as well as the fitting lens bag.

I guess other retailers will receive their stock very soon.

I'll wait till the 100-400 is in the store for me to give it a test run before I buy. Mainly because it will be attached to a Pen-F not an em1/em1x.

I am also not sure who would actually trade that lens in, if I would own it and indeed be interested in the new lens, I'd rather keep the much lighter and compact 75-300 for sheer convenience when I just don't want to carry around the weight and bulk.

I preordered the 100-400... no special deals in Canada yet, but N0 WAY would I part with my 75-300.  For me the 100-400 is a specialty lens for bird and wildlife excursions. The 75-300 I take  walking around anywhere. Different lenses for different purposes.

Where did  you see that trade in promotion ?

Thanks for the link .... here in The Netherlands i called with contact number but they said they don't know if the same promotion is going to implement also... 

I have seen the return prices that they gave ... you are right .... to less return price .... better sell the camera in another country where they are less available  .for a better price .
