Maxxum/Dynax/Alpha 7 and 9 aperture assembly

So I've recently taken a punt on a Dynax 7, have loaded the first roll of film and I'm getting what I now know to be quite common issue of a worn out or damaged aperture assembly. Whenever I actuate the shutter or the DOF preview then I get an 'error' message on the LCD screen.

Having researched this and spoken to the minolta service centre in the UK, it is now apparent that its a dud, and the assemblies to replace the part are no longer available from anywhere. SONY apparently scrapped the parts in the acquisition.

Instead I'm going to take it on the chin and try a different camera body. Does anyone know if the Maxxum/Dynax/Alpha 9 used the same assembly for the aperture control? What about the 9Ti? Is it the same mechanism?

If I were to buy one am I risking having the same issues?

Any input from someone with experience of this would be much appreciated.

I've not heard of any common problems with the Dynax 9 .

Check the aperture linkage on the Dynax 7 hasn't just become dislodged .This does sometimes happen on some Minolta and Sony A mount  cameras .

The Dynax 7 is my favourite SLR , I've got a couple of them . The D9's good as well and works well , the only downside is you can't use SSM lenses on it unless you track down a modified one as the update is no longer available .

I have the A7 and two A9's all of which work perfectly.  My favorite is the 9.  It's built like a tank and with the vertical grip it's a handful.  As mentioned, I can't use the SSM lenses since neither of mine is modified, but I have enough AF ones to cover the range I need.
