A view around Muker
4

A few shots from around Muker in the Yorkshire Dales near Thwaites .

Taken with a KM DiMage A200 .

I had a weeks holiday in the Yorkshire Dales , where it mainly rained all the time , but stopped occasionally just long enough to get a few shots .

These were from the only sunny day !

So I took out with me the old A200 and a Canon T60 manual focus SLR with a 50mm f/1.4 , plus a Lubitel 2 and Ensign Ful-View medium format cameras .

Here's a few from the Minolta .

A view along the Swaledale valley

Farmsteads

Tumbling barns

Wild flower meadows waiting to be cut

Re: A view around Muker

The sunshine on the hill in #2 is beautiful. I also like the barn that's crumbling away. Glad you had a little sun at least.

I don't believe i have ever seen an Ensign Ful-View camera before today. It's a strange looking thing. Maybe you can post the scans from it when you get the film back.

Thanks Wes .

The cameras an old British one from around the 1950's , I'm not sure if they were exported but if they were it would have most likely just been into Europe .

So your not likely to have seen them over your way .

There's still about four shots left in it before I develop it , and I've still a bit of a backlog of film to develop !

Let alone scanning ...

I'll add some to this thread Shen I get them done though .

This is a lovely set. I like shot 2 with the splash of sun on the hillside.

Strangely, I've got an Ensign Ful-Vue, though not used it for years. The TLR- type viewfinder is weird but good, and the distance scale just cracks me up :-  2, 3-5 and           6-∞.

Anyway, nice to see another A200 in action.

Thanks Brian .

Your Ful-Vue must be the slightly later fancy ones with all the mod cons !

Mines the earlier one with just two settings on the lens .

Pushed in for distant and pulled forward for approx 10 feet away ( portraits ) .

Shutter speed is either on bulb or instantaneous .

I cleaned it so it moved freely again and lubricated it with a pencil tip , somewhere between 1/30 and a 1/60 second .

Aperture is what it is !

I loaded mine with Ilford HP 5 due to the weather and the one fine day was too bright ! So I've still a few to finish off .

I put FP4 in the Lubitel 2 with the advantage of having variable aperture , shutter speed and a tripod mount !
