Nice to hear from you, and to see you continue to follow your passion.

Yes! Thanks.

I didn't browse yet through all your images, but what I've seen - they're very nice, as usual.

You and others may have spotted that the resolution of my photos in this thread isn't as high as previous photos I posted.

I down-sized the originals and then processed them to create JPEGs for Twitter.
I simply uploaded those JPEGs here.

I still have the original DNGs in Lightroom Classic.
But re-processing 70 of them at full resolution was a bit much for this thread!
(I often use different processing for different purposes).

Good to see you back, and good work as ever.

Hard to believe they flew that 1938 glider!

The Shuttleworth Collection is passionate about flying their old aircraft.
Not just showing them in their hangers.
The same with their agricultural machinery and various vehicles.

For information, I've also booked for this:

Glad to see you back Barry and your vintage plane pictures are excellent. Like you I have only been out a couple of times since last fall and it is really showing up in my keeper rate.

More than kicking, I hope!

I just broke off to lift two 32 kg (two 70+ pound) kettlebells.
(That's more in total than my body weight).

At 73, I need to continually fight the battle against sarcopenia.
I was weedy when young and got worse with age through neglect.
Without sufficient strength and stamina to keep going with heavy camera gear all day, I can't do the photography I want.

Oh excellent photos too

Thanks!

But ... I took 2645 DNGs that day.
It would be worrying if I didn't get some good ones!

At your age some people are already dead, although it is a fight I'd say you're doing pretty good considering!

Good to see you back Barry - Trust you are OK?

BTW I've stayed with APSc for the reason you mention; weight.

I'm in favour of keeping things light!
Both when having to carry equipment around, and when panning it for action.

I'm about to start a new thread which mentions weight.

Re: Pre-WWII racing aircraft

In my eyes the DH88 'Comet' was one of the prettiest aircraft of it's era. The Percival 'Mew Gull' was something special as well. As far as I know G-AEXF still holds a class record for England-Cape Town! To see them in the air together must have been a very special moment

Thank you , Barry Pearson . These are excellent . Fail safe is a better approach . Next time you can try , not essential . Under these conditions 1/500 would yield the desired effect !

Nice and ironic measures

Good photos there!

Isn't it a joke that good social distancing measures were employed at this outside venue whilst the government are paying up to a £10 meal subsidy for people to cluster together inside restaurants and pubs without masks on.

Madness and it's spreading everywhere again.
