SAMSUNG S20 screen protector question

I accidentally lost the screen protector that came with the phone, so had to take it off. Never cared much about screen protectors in the past, but never had a SAMSUNG before so no idea how this phone performs regarding micro-scratches etc.

So after using cell phones since 1986 here is a question for those who actually know. Had a look at some websites, the usual videos but nothing conclusive.

So in short:

Use a screen protector - and if so,

  • A film protector or
  • A glass protector (do these come off easily??)

What make? I am in NZ so a particular brand might not be available here.

Thanks

Depends on your use.  If you're very careful with your phone (don't put it in your pocket with your keys, don't drop it), you can do without a screen protector.  Otherwise something is better than nothing.  Glass protectors cost a bit more and quite durable, but can crack.  Film protectors are inexpensive but less durable.

Ah yes. I think I must have used some protectors in the past but stopped using them with the iPhone 3GS.

Are glass protectors easily removable or glued in a tad harder than foil? Difficult to find straight answers to those questions.

Thanks for your reply!

Re: SAMSUNG S20 screen protector question

Depends on who makes the protector.  You need to search for reviews view Google or on Amazon/Ebay.  Some tempered glass protectors are very hard and do not scratch easily.  Some are easier than others to apply.  Some stay on better.

The same applies for film protectors.  I believe a lot of people who apply their own protectors buy inexpensive ones in bulk and then just replace them when they start peeling off or get  scratched up.

All protectors I've used we're easy to remove.  Putting them on well is much harder.
