so in other words:

a photocentric review site of the R5 going over its 47MP. great AF, Great Form factor, lens compatibility and fast operation.

A video centric review site of the R5 becoming a beach-fest of folks who can't shoot their Laurence of Arabia in 8K on location in a 120 def F temperature

yeah, I'm in!

There ya go. Dead on and I happen to agree. It's ALL about photography. Take the video issues elsewhere thank you. If I was all about video once again I'd own a video camera specialized for that purpose.

Name the gear and I've probably owned it and used it.

I agree if your a video guy buy a video camera your frustration will be must lower.

What I want is a forum for people that intend to use R5/R6 for video mainly, like me. The discussion would be more fruitful. I am not so much interested in the opinion of photographers or videographers who's needs will render overheating a problem, and who should therefore not use the R5/R6 for video.

Then change the name of the site first. This is "Digital Photography Review" site. Everything should be photography first.

Bashing Canon's video features is a trendy topic now, Canon is responsible for part of this problem, but mainly more from those YouTubers as this will attract more view counts.

With the launch of R5, I think we are approaching the threshold of a camera this is "more than good enough for 99% of photographers". The development of photographic features will be slow down while more and more emphasizes willl be on video features, that's how these companies can drive new sales. Think of that if R5 is falwless on the video side also, who is going to upgrade to R5 MarkII?

For a second gen flagship mirrorless, Canon did a really great job.

Maybe every forum...
