Thank you.  There are many lakes in Texas, but Caddo Lake is the only natural one.  It straddles the border with Louisiana.

I took more shots than these 4.  The stillness resulted in wonderful reflections in the water of the cypress trees.

My experience with Texas was working for 6 months at UTMB in Galveston. But this was flying in on Sunday nights, home on Thursday afternoon, putting in 40 hours in that time. Really liked Galveston, not so much southern Houston. Would have liked to get out but it didn't pan out. If I ever get back I'll have to check Caddo Lake out. Thanks for the images.

Those shots remind me of Lake Bistineau, just over the border in LA.  I spent several hours shooting there a couple of years ago.  I've seen the signs for Caddo Lake driving from Dallas to Bossier City where I have some family.  I may need to take a detour next time I visit, though I doubt I''ll be getting on an airplane anytime soon.

UTMB?

Here is some Caddo Lake info:

I haven't been back to Caddo Lake since December 1999 when I took these photos.  Next time I am in Texas I should try to go again.

UTMB,

University of Texas Medical Branch, oldest continually opened hospital in Texas. At least that is what they tell their contractors.

I have never been to that lake, but it sounds very nice.  I was at Caddo Lake in December 1999.  Very cool place.  Texas State Park.
