Getting Out...
3

Have to say i've fallen behind again, back at work and we are maxing out the available hours which leaves me a bit too worn to bother with the laptop when i get home (good job i don't shoot raw),

anyway, the lockdown is currently over and its easier to get out and about...

First five are local 'dog-walk' photos, all FE85mm f1.8

in the background you can see the barn wall featured in the next two shots...

And moving on, last weekend we were able to drive to Kent to visit my mum for the first time this year, so took the hound down to the beach

its a bit soft in places

that's one  sandy hound

Cheers, C

I didn't think anyone was preventing you to go to local wildlife sites or drive into the country. Places like that are usually not crowded and are a good way of "decompressing" and have fun pursuing this hobby.

Thank you. I appreciate your comment.  Maybe you can use that ultralight and take some aerial photos of the area you photographed from the ground. Beautiful captures by the way.

From first day with new camera
5

So I just got the A6600 with the 10-18 F4 OSS being one of them, this is from my first day going out to try it.

Haven't really been active in taking photos for quite some time but recently got into it again. I'm a bit rusty but am working on getting better.

My first star trail attempt

This one is from yesterday night - my first star trail attempt. Despite the clouds I think it worked out pretty good for a first attempt. I'm happy with this result.

In past week the comet Neowise grabbed my completely, and I have become Noctoral. It pulled me towards the Night sky and made me go outside for 4 nights trying to capture some night sky images.
I haven't done a lot of night sky photography in the past (other than Northern lights on a few Arctic Norway trips) but this comet seemed a good opportunity to go outside and discover night sky photograhy.

Unfortunately we have quite a bit of light pollution in Western Europe, best I have in my area is Bortle class 4.

Anyway, here some images I made last week. Unfortunately the past days have been cloudy and rainy, so I'm waiting for new opportunities. I believe around 12 August we have the opportunity of "meteorite showers" so when conditions are good I'll have a go at that one as well.

I was lucky to capture comet Neowise and a metorite in a single image under the Zeeland bridge, Oosterschelde - The Netherlands

Cool pic even without the comet!

Junior Pileated Woodpecker. The squirrel spooked him. I have a lot of shots of these birds over the years but this is one of my favorites.

The rains are a little late this year, but we may well see more later in the year.

These are with may brand-new A6600 and the M-mount Zeiss Biogon 28mm f/2.8 lens.
