New Olympus email promotion

I just received email from Olympus with link to photographing a jet with EM-1 mk iii. Scrolling down I saw the following offer for trade in, trade up for that camera:

GET $600 OFF
AFTER $400 SAVINGS
+ $200 TRADE UP BONUS

This would mean $1200. for EM-1 Mark III. This is lower than recent offer so I followed links which led me to old $300 off total. Since I have some great lenses for my EM-1 and Pen E-P5 that price would tempt me to trade in one of those cameras, even if I don't get much for it.  But perhaps they made a mistake.

Not a mistake. It may be new to you but the promotion has been on for a while, started maybe July 1?

Your link was to the one going on, but that leads to a total $300. off for the E-M1 mark iii. This new one promises $600. off for the E-M1 mark iii.

I do not think you get $600 off, more like $300, i followed the link in my email and the EM1X gets a total of $600 off, the EM1.3 is only $300 off - or $1,499 (plus camera store trade-in which is alway very little)

It was a mistake. Got this email back from Olympus saying it was a mistake and they have corrected it:

Thank you for the email and the interest in our products. Unfortunately that was an error in the email on our part, it should have stated “Save up to $600” depending on the camera purchased. I am sorry for that. We have corrected the error on the email as well. Thank you for letting us know.

The “save up to” is what I figured they messed up. Almost all their sales promotions states “save up to...” Anyway, too bad since for $600 I would have traded in my 1+ year old EM1.2, knowing that a camera store will offer me only about 35% of its resale value.
