A keeper!
14

I've had the 18mm on an X-Pro 1 for a few years now and enjoyed it's compact size, max. aperture and learned to live with the vignetting.

I just picked up an X-Pro 2 with the XF 35mm F2 R WR for a decent price, both in minty condition. I had planned on selling off the lens and replacing with a new wide angle. Well, now that I've had it I think I'm stuck on it. I spent years shooting 35mm with wide primes and always loved the versatility of a 50mm.

This one's a keeper. It's amazingly fast and compact. And while my 35mm "fiddys" are all 1.4s (I once owned the 1.2) the f2 of this lens is not slowing me down since files shot at even 6400 are amazingly quiet.

This is my camera pig, Harley, at 1600. f2.8. 1/125

It is a great all round lens that does everything you ask of it.

Thank you! That's our rescue Harley!

He's a pig for the camera and was even in a Ford truck commercial (2019 Ranger) I worked on a couple of years ago!

One more from Cannon Beach in Oregon. Appreciated knowing this is weather resistant with the wind moving sand and ocean spray!

After reading more reviews about the 23mm f2 WR's lack of sharpness I've decided this one stays in my lens quiver!

The way you shoot, I don't think you'll have a problem with the sharpness of the XF 23mm. I have the 16, 23, and the 35mm Fujicrons.
It is only soft when you're shooting up close and wide open. I see you can stop-down (photo of the dog) so you won't have a problem with it.
The XF 23mm f2 is very sharp.Don't believe the comments on Youtube. :

Anyway, 35mm.. very good lens! Also a keeper for me.

Re: A keeper!

I actually love shooting minimum focus at f2! I always add a touch of subtle vignette anyway and this lens just helps me get there faster!

I really exploited this when I had my 18 f2. While others complained of it I found it a wonderful look.
