Panny G95 or Olympus E-M1 Mk II (to pair with Panny 100-300 II) ?

I used to have Panasonic G85 paired with Panasonic 100-300 II lens for safari wildlife photography. By the way, I just sold the G85 body because of defect on image sensor.

I'm looking for the new body to paired with 100-300 II lens for long range zoom (so the image stabilization function is important for me) and considering 2 options G95 and E-M1 MK II

In Thailand, the G95 body cost around US$700 and Olympus E-M1 MK II cost around US$900, both are brand new price.

Actually, I'm leaning toward E-M1 MK II for better performance on still photography but I won't get Dual IS function with Olympus body.

Can the IBIS on E-M1 MK II be on par with Dual IS on G95 for 100-300 II lens ?

I interested on still photography only and don't care about video capabilities.

Thanks

You mean better continuous auto-focus?

What about G9?

I haven't used the Olympus but i did own a G9 which is better than the G95 in nearly every way. Im also planning a new camera buy in the next month and have been doing a lot of research on the EM1.2 as it's a likely buy and from what i have seen in use and read, the EM1.2 can definitely match the G95 in IBIS even against dual IS, and is better in every other way.

IBIS, burst rates, no EVF blackout, CAF speed, buffer, the EM1.2 is a pro level body and the G95 is no match. And since the Olympus doesn't lock you into the Panasonic only lenses, you might look at the Olympus zooms too as perhaps one is cheaper than the Panasonic versions.

I would not compare G95 vs EM1.2. The EM1.2 is a flagship class model. G9 should be a comparable model to the EM1...

If G95 and EM1.2 will be your only option, no doubt EM1.2 is a more capable tool.

AF speed is not the only consideration on picking a camera. Also is that 1 stop or less, most probably none, IS of 100-300 because no DUAL IS... Under the excellent IBIS of Oly, it could be my last concern.
