Re: Out Of Focus

Very lucky. Not what I tried to do. A one of a kind. I don't know how to do it again.

I like the first one. What did you pass up in a Canon and Nikon?

Re: Olympus DSLR

I thought you need 42MP and a 35mm sensor to do that!

Yes thanks, I know all about channel swap, thought this one looked better w/o the swap.

Yep some do. I work with 590 and 720 and usually for me the 590 is sometime more interesting un-swapped.

North Cascades & Other Ramblings

Oldies I like

Baker Lake. Only looks like this in October when the waterline is the lowest.

Diablo Lake

Yosemite, upper park

A Back Yard I'd Like to Have Van Zandt, Washington, on Highway 9 behind Bellingham.

Alpine lake on Mt. Shuksan

San Francisco Bay

Processed. Which do you like better?

Monument to the fisherman. Lake Washington, Kirkland

Ferry to Ferry, Downtown Seattle

Agree!  My E-510 was converted to 720 and always gets the swap.  The G5 is 590 and gets the swap maybe 1/3 to 1/2 of the time

Post some of your IR's please...

Re: Olympus DSLR

Also when 4/3 was hatched, the idea was an open Format.   A bunch of companies were to cooperate and everyone’s lenses would work perfectly on the other guys bodies.

That sounded like a fresh start to the photography concept to me.  And one of the main reasons I bought in on the 4/3 concept.

its the glass, not the sensor size and an open format....all sounded great to me.

That's like comparing Monet to Picasso to Dali to Warhol. None better than the other. Different styles.

It was pretty well shined up for the display Dave.  I had to stop and shoot it.

Re: Acapulco Redux and Farmall

I know what you mean Harvey.  There are usually fireworks here on the 1st but none that I know of this year.  Even the neighbour did not shoot of fireworks.  There could be a ban here though, not sure.  The grass here on the property is so dry in some spots that when you walk on it you can here things breaking!

Re: Olympus DSLR

Quite a collection of old Olympus bodies there Oly.  The old images still stand up fairly well, as long as there was lots of light!

Re: North Cascades & Other Ramblings

Some very nice images in that lot Harvey.

As to the question, I like the processed image better.
