Milky Way Panorama Lone Tree

16 images, 8 wide, 2 high panorama. Stitched in LR & finished off in PS. A6000 w/ Sigma 16mm f1.4

This is a beautifully and painstakingly executed image.

It appears there is enough DR here that it might be possible to pull more texture and especially color (to provide a pleasing contrast with the sky) out of the foreground and tree.

Hi jmw4, it is a striking image, very nice, I am impressed that you could stitch 8 wide from a 16mm lens, it seems that would be so wide that you must almost have a 360 view? I can't get my head around it

Hey Mark, it’s 16mm on crop sensor, so 24mm equiv... plus I overlapped way way more than 50%!

Hey Mark, it’s 16mm on crop sensor, so 24mm equiv... plus I overlapped way way more than 50%!

Do you mind me asking what you stitched the images together with?

Absolutely amazing and stunning image.

All the work and time taken to plan, execute and post process has certainly paid off.
