That's sort of what I suggested - Panasonic to take the lens's that it needs to fill a gap in its portfolio off Olympus if and when it seizes to exist (maybe even the af to incorporate in a future model).

No one seems interested in this scenario.

Sense has absolutely nothing to do with it now.  Olympus is doing this for their own reasons, and their customers welfare is way down on the list of concerns if it's on the list at all.

Sony did the same when it bought Konica Minolta company's SLR business in 2006 to jumpstart its move into cameras. Olympus execs will be looking for a buyer and are not going to need to rush through with a sale of this segment of their business.
