I’m in love with my mint x100T..... So now...

I wanted to try shooting with a rangefinder style camera. I got the x100t from EBay and I love it.  I shoot mainly portraits and street.  From time to time I take paid gigs doing portraits. I’m wondering if I should sell my xh1 and xt20 and pick up either a xe3 (along with a couple more lenses) or an xpro 2?? Would you consider shooting a paid portrait gig with a xe3 and 34 1.4 and a 56?

Thanks for your feed back. I’ve been shooting with Fuji for a little over a year and I’m still discovering what I find comfortable.

Thanks in advance.

You should keep the XH1, it’s a very capable camera. An XE3 is a great little camera for doing street photos, paired with the 23mmf2 or 50mmf2. The viewfinder is better in the XH1 and if you get the optional vertical grip you’ll look and perform like a pro.

And yes yes yes to the 35mmf1.4 and 56mmf1.2 for portraits. Both are very capable lenses. I used the 35mm for portraits quite a bit. The 56mm is very much a portrait lens.

The X-H1, X-T20, X-E3, and X-pro2 are all similar in performance with some feature differences so moving to the X-E3 wouldn't necessarily be an upgrade, and in the case of losing IBIS a downgrade.

I love the xh1 but I find I rarely use it. With the occasional paid gig or it the weather is iffy. I love shooting with the x100t. I love the form factor. I’m wondering if I could get away with getting the xe3 bc of the form factor or getting the new x100v.  Either way in doing so I would def be getting rid of the xh1. It does look professional but it hasn’t left the shelf in over six months. Only once and that was three days ago.

Remember the X-Pro2 has dual card slots which is good to have for professional work, just like your X-H1.

Both X-E3 and X-Pro2 dont have tilting screens which is handy for portraits, specially low angle ones.

If you like RF shaped cameras better, use RF shaped cameras... it is that simple.

Yes, why wouldn't I?  The only reason you'd be afraid to show up with an X-E3 is because you won't look "pro" enough... but performance wise, the output is similar.

Hmmm, maybe think about it a little longer...
