Change Nikon Set Lens to fixed one

Who got the Z6/Z7 with the Z 24-70 mm f/4 S in a set?

Did you change fast to a fixed one and if yes to which one?

What was your experience with the difference of the image qualities regarding the set lens?

The 24-70 S f/4 kit lens is the best kit lens I've ever used and would go so far to say it's one of the best Nikon lenses I've ever used, and I've worked through quite a few of them.

It's small, lightweight, very sharp across the frame, constant f/4 and makes use of the excellent IBIS system. It'd take a really good midrange 24-70/24-105 type zoom to make me want to swap it.

I came from a D5300 with 35 1.8, 50 1.8, 85 1.8 and the 18-105.

Now I got the Z8 with 24-70 F4 and the 50 1.8.

This Zoom lens is so supersharp that I only use the 50mm for faster aperture.

How are you finding the Z8? They're in very short supply I hear.

I was going to get the Z8 but found the features on the Z9 a little bit better.  The built in USB 4.0 with data transfer rates of 2TB a second are outstanding.  The 4 card slot and the 6TB built in memory with the 200 Frames per second shooting is just what I need.

Like others have said the kit lens is superb. So good I sold my 24-70 2.8 (non-VR). I have got the 50mm 1.8 Z lens which is also great. Just depends on light and circumstances which one I use.
