2nd G85 or G95

I'am very happy with my G85. The maximum size print I do is 12 x 10 (Inches) but mainly prints four photo albums., I even considerd a G7 as the price in Australia is very good. I would have my lumix 12-602 on one camera and the Olympus 14-150 on the other, savves changing lenses and also gives me a backup camera. I like the grips on the pany cameras far better than the Olympus (even with accessory grip)

I'am in my late 70's so IBIS would be useful in both bodies but is it necessary with the 12-60

Thanks for your input

Yes, with the G85 you get the benefit of dual-IS2 with the 12-60 lens. This is a big improvement over the G7.

In addition, the G85 has no AA filter which is another difference over the G7.

Having two identical bodies would be helpful in terms of familiarity with controls/menus so I think the G85 is the way to go. There are very good prices for the G85 available at the moment.

the menu from the g7 to g85 is about the same, but the g85 is a better model.

Re: 2nd G85 or G95

Until earlier this year while G95 was still relatively expensive, I edged towards G85. But now the table turned.

If budget is not a problem, I shall opt for the G95 because its price is falling fast (at least true to my region, nowaday G95 should be just around <US$100 more than I paid for my G85 last year:US$430 body only).

The improvement on G95 worth for that small premium. 4Mp more pixel count, improved jpg engine, the first ever Live Composite of Panny, a customizable My Menu, likely also min shutter speed, customised file name, direct USB powering etc...

If you do not own the 14-150 yet, I might recommend you the better IQ Panny 14-140 f/3.5~5.6 mk-II, it is also WR as Oly 14-150, DUAL IS 2 compatible on both G85 and G95, DFD for faster AF etc...
