X-E3 - Q button stops working?

I just bought an X-E3 from a FS section of another forum. It's my first Fuji ILC body, but I've used an X100s quite a bit for it to be easy to use. I am loving it for the most part, but I've got a few niggling issues that drives me nuts.

While using the camera, the Q button will just stop working. I'll have to turn the camera off and back on again, and everything is right as rain. There's no pattern in what causes this to happen from what I can tell.

I'm using an OEM Fuji battery, SanDisk Extreme Pro 128 GB card. I've been using a Fuji 18/2 and 35/1.4. No rain, water exposure. Low humidity.

Is this normal? Are Fuji cameras known as being temperamental and flaky? I've never experienced anything like this with my X100s or any of my Sony NEX or A7 bodies.

It’s definitely not normal. None of my Fuji cameras do that including my X-E3.

No problems here as well - I recommend you call Fuji's help desk. They are great to work with and for me, very helpful.

Mine never does that. Nor do I have any Q button issues with any other Fujifilm cameras. I suspect you bought a defective camera. Return it if you can.

I've owned several used Fujis including a rough X-E3 and none of their Q buttons have acted up; they've all be solid little cameras.

Thanks all for the replies... I've just tried a factory reset, let's see if this fixes it!

I can try the Fuji helpdesk, but I imagine they won't have much to say. I bought it used, presumably out of warranty.
