Re: Landscape telephoto lenses

The Panny 45-175 is my "stealth telephoto" - It is ridiculously small and lightweight for its reach.  I have no complaints about its IQ.  It seems to be plenty sharp for a compact, non-pro, tele-zoom.  I have it in my lightweight bag with a GX9.  Per your original post, the slow speed at full zoom (f/5.6) should not be an issue.

I had the 45-175 mm, it’s a really good lens and could suit your type of shooting. I sold mine because the overlap from the 35-100 f2.8 and the 100-300 mm. For landscapes I use the 8-18 mm and 35-100 mm f2.8 lightweight and enough reach for me.
