Like an iPhone with a 270mm lens

Although the NV7 was on my wishlist from the day I first saw it, I didn't buy one until much later. I still use it on occasion today (2020) for nature shots while I'm out hiking. The only drawback in my opinion is the glare on the screen, especially in sunlight. The autofocus misses on rare occasion, especially in tricky situations where the camera doesn't know what to focus on. I'm not sure if there is a manual focus over-ride. (I'll have to check the manual again after all these years). And if there is, chances are it's awkward and impractical to use, as is the case with most autofocus point-and-shoots.

This isn't the greatest camera, but I prefer to think of it as iPhone camera quality with a 270mm lens.

NOTE: I only use this camera outdoors. I don't use it in low light, with or without flash, so I didn't rate it for those categories.
