Took the Dynax 7D and the beercan for a walk.

Took my old stuff for a walk.
While I was developing the photos, I was asking myself: do I really NEED that 45MP DSLR?

this one is obviously not taken with the Dynax.

Very nice.   Some of my favourite images are from the 7D, though I never acquired a beer can.  I have the 100-300APO which is a good lens.

I miss my 100-300 apo. It broke years ago with my dynax 7 after a bad fall during a mountain hike.

I still enjoy using my Dynax 7d , lovely images from it .

I still have my 35-70mm f/4 , 70-210mm f/4 and 50mm f/1.7 from when I got a Minolta 7000AF , and still use them , especially the 70-210mm .

Still have the camera too , but I mainly use a Dynax 7 or Dynax 9 for film .

Thanks for sharing, very interesting set of images.

I still own a 7D and while it doesn't get much use, when it does I feel it produces a special look and the colours are just crazy good.

While the 6 mp sensor is excellent in its ouput, I would have prefered if it had a 10 or 12 mp sensor instead.

Where I feel it misses is in the focus precision at least on my model, its a common problem to all SLR's and at that time there werent any firmware with focus adjustment.

Very nice shots!

I never had a 7D (or any of the upper end Maxxums) but I did get 2 Beercans early this year. I got them cheap because someone had engraved on the barrels. I keep one in my Sony A390 bag and the other with all my Maxxum gear. I also have the Bearcan Lite and the Big Beercan, but the original is a special lens.

So do I. I'd but today the exact same body with 12MP

It depends on the lense on mine, as long as I stay in single mode. The continuous AF just doesn't work very well.
The 50 and the 35 are always perfect.
the 100-300 non apo is a bit of a focus lottery.
the 70-210 is perfect until 20 feet. Further, it has a back focusing tendency.
the 35-70 is just weird AF. sometimes it's perfect, sometime it front focuses, sometimes it back focuses.
The viewer is quite goof, and even if the lenses are not fly by wire, AF dizengage button is very practical to swith to MF and adjust.

Beautiful pictures, especially loved the flowers.

Minolta had a lovely JPG engine, no doubt.

Re: Took the Dynax 7D and the beercan for a walk.

The lens has a big influence on auto focus, two identical lenses can give different results in the same camera.

In the past people were blaming the lens, while the problems relies on the af sensors being on a different plane from the image sensor and causing  miss focus.
