This would be different but not necessarily better for everybody.

For video we don't need very high resolution, 8 Mpixs for 4k, maybe 16Mpixs if you want to stabilize heavily. The sigma trio or the 22mm are not bad for that.

I think Canon will make at lest one compact lense per year for this system to keep it selling. The M50 is the most sold camera on earth.

Some rummors on that : https://www.canonrumors.co/canon-ef-m-lens-roadmap-five-new-ef-m-lenses-coming-next-24-months/

I believe 15mm and 52mm both F2 could be very compact.

These rumors are very old. Better concentrate on the R7 rumor that seems more certain. (If one can say that).

Why not but this rumor says second half of 2021 for R7 ! This has time to change also a bit...

It seems (for Canon but also other manufacturers) that producing a new body is much easier than produce new lense/s.

Personally I already took photos of my M3 and 18-55mm. I am not sure if put them in sale right now or wait a little more.

Beyond the 90D’s level actually. More like the 7D Mark II. For about $2K I’d think.

This would be different but not necessarily better for everybody.

Indeed. This body would be fairly specific for focal length-limited subjects like wildlife and field sports.

There would be no compact RF crop lenses developed specifically for this camera. It’s role would be vastly different from the M System and APS-C (DSLRs) of the past.

For video we don't need very high resolution, 8 Mpixs for 4k, maybe 16Mpixs if you want to stabilize heavily.

Gone are the days of low res (leave that to M43). It’s going to be 24 MP or higher from here on out for the M. The M6ii’s 32 MP is awesome.

The sigma trio or the 22mm are not bad for that.

+1 Love my primes!

That would be much better than the current state! Bring them on!

The M50 is the most sold camera on earth.

That’s what’s been said. I couldn’t give up the M6ii’s capabilities for anything though.

I believe 15mm and 52mm both F2 could be very compact.

I have the Sigma 16 and 56 lenses (both are excellent performers, esp on the M6ii), so I wouldn’t need those. I’d much rather see a better standard zoom!

I saw his post. I am not used on shipping items. I will sell it in my city (hand by hand).

I have the Tamron  m mount18-200 and find it to be pretty good. However a teleconverter and a 100-200 or even a better light gathering wide to short tele zoom would be great.
