Is This Minolta ColorMeter IIIf broken??

Hello,

I am trying a Minolta Color Meter IIIf, but I can't seem to get the lightmeter in AMBI mode with the simple switch.
Is my lightmeter broke? AMBI just doesn't want to appear on the screen, how can I check this??

The right slide is in up position but stills displays "CORD"
Any advice, experience?

Hi,

If the right switch doesn't change the mode from ambi - chord - non c, that switch could be broken, or the little contacts beneath dirty, or the little copper thingy inside the switch doesn't make proper contact.
Maybe you could try some contact cleaner, moving the switch many times hoping for it to work again.
Or if you feel confident, open it and check if the little copper thingy inside the swicth makes contact.

It's just some glass, some silicon and magnesium. It isn't a religion.

thanks Joseph,
I might open up the back and see if something is broken or not connected. Hope it is an easy fix

Cheers
