I have had many lenses from various brands during 30 years of photographic passion. Among them, many excellent zooms changed hands, but none of them had managed to give me back the three-dimensionality and plasticity of the fixed luminous optics. Instead this Canon RD 28-70 / 2 L for the first time really makes you forget to be a zoom. It has a fabulous bokeh and I consider it more as 4 bright prime lenses (28-35-50-70 / 2) in one tool than as a real zoom. A masterpiece that no other brand has managed to offer so far.

i feel the same about canon EF 24-70 f2.8 II and has replaced my "L" primes in that range! i just cannot praise enough how good this tele/zoom is, although i haven't used the RF version, yet!
