Canon Powershot SX530 lens cap size

Does anyone know what lens cap size would fit Canon Powershot SX 530?  I tried looking on canon website for specs but it doesn't say the lens size.  TBH I don't know how to read it. No sure what to look for when looking at Canons specs.  Someone on this forum said its 48mm, but I can't find that specific size anywhere.

Re: Canon Powershot SX530 lens cap size

The camera ships with a Canon clip-in lens cap, which clips into the end of the lens barrel, where on would expect to find filter threads.

The camera is not designed for an externally-fitted lens cap, and one must be careful in fitting an external push-on style cap, lest one cramp the last couple of millimeters of lens retraction during power-off, leading to damage of the lens motor drive.

Re: Canon Powershot SX530 lens cap size

ok, but I bought a used one and it didn't come with a camera lens cap.  I went to canon's website to look for a lens cap similar to mine, but I don't know the size so I can purchase the correct one with my canon powershot sx530.

Hmmm....

I'm wondering if perhaps you could start a tech support ticket with Canon, in order to purchase a replacement lens cap?
