Hello Sigma Shooters:

March is gone, April is here and spring has arrived (smile). It is time again for our weekly show and tell of images made with Sigma cameras and lenses. Please try to limit your post to 3 images and remember to give your post a title so that comment will be properly directed.

So stay home or near by and shoot some pictures and have fun!

On highway 85 North of Albuquerque, NM is a place with a motto 'In Rust we Trust" An amazing place with lots of memorabilia from Highway 66 and the 1950s. This is a shot of the inside of the main building. Shot with the SD14 and the 20 mm F:1.8 lens.

Here is a fall shot from 2016 of the changing leave in a local park. Image taken with the SD1 Merrill and the 18 to 35 mm Art lens.

Enjoy!

Still a bit cool here, but we get a few patches of these tiny flowers every Spring. Basically SOOC jpeg, 50% reduced and converted to sRGB color space.

It always amazes me that we get such colors this time of year.

Lousy weather today so I had to dig into the archives.

Salmon Rocks, Cape Conran. May 2017.

And something completely different and non-Sigma.

Bus Stop combo. Two shots made with two lenses on two different days . The etched glass wall of a bus stop overlaid on a shot of plants in my front yard.

Wonderful, even if non-Sigma! Don't know how you could think of doing this combination.

Vandalism!

Somebody did the mailboxes on Kuykendall at Mill Creek. They're three miles away, so I didn't hear a thing, grump:

Mine was between the first and third nearesr boxes, I had already took it out for repair.

Had to make a complete new post:

Fortunately, I have plenty of Cedar trees (they are rot-resistant).

Another week in hospital. In the lift on the way for an ultrasound scan I met a really old man who looked vaguely familiar; yep you guessed  it, the lift was all mirrored. Later a try at an SP -

A rubbish photo of a beautiful full moon:- well else what do you do at 05:30am from a hospital bed?:-D

Free at last! To illustrate the  effects of the c*r*n*v*r*s, this  reception area would normally have 30-40 people milling about.

Gonna be a long summer.............

Thanks, Dick.

Yeah, it was a weird idea. It came to me after I'd photographed the etched glass pattern - in both shadow form and directly. A few days before I'd shot some bokeh patterns near sundown from my front door - without any clear idea of how I might use them. It then became clear to me and I made two combined images using layers.

Here's the other one:

Shot with the Meyer Optik Görlitz 100mm f2.8 Trioplan and the Samyang 85mm F1.8 ED UMC CS

Which do you prefer?

Good to see your face again, George!

I must be a quite a relief to be out of hospital and back in lock down (irony).

It's not easy keep trying to find photos to work on or re-work. For me it's like cooking up new ways to prepare food. And it's been cold and wet here.

Hopefully you can get some time outside to enjoy the warming weather.

Stay safe, mate.

A Speckled Wood butterfly, looking fresh and new. Probably straight out of a chrysalis.

Yes to all that.
