Definitely feels more plastic than the X-E2. "Made In Japan" is not just a marketing gimmick, that said the X-E3 is a good functional improvement in every way.

Hopefully Fuji can just use slightly better materials in the X-E4 to get back to the feel of older bodies.

After owning a 5DMkII for a short time nearly a decade ago, but being put off by the combination of size and lack of benefits in focal length limited applications (basically any amount of cropping), my gear strategy has been fully dedicated to APS-C since then.

The X-E3 finally gives me more overall flexibility than 35mm sensors from a decade ago and now that capability is wrapped into a highly convenient package.

This camera wasn't part of my long term plans but when I was shopping for the the XC15-45mm lens and saw the X-E3+XC15-45 kit for about $650 CAD, body practically only cost me $270 above my expected budget. I think I did a bit better than the X-H1 fire sales from 2019.

According to Fujirumors website, the XE camera series will be discontinued. We won't see an XE4.

Give it up.  Their track record on things like this is 100%.  There won’t be an XE4.

No, actually it’s not.  I agree it’s unlikely that there will be an X-E3, but they are a site designed to attract page views.

Yes, like most websites they are a site designed to attract page views, but how does that contradict the fact that their track record on things like this is 100%?

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t like Fujirumors particularly, I find the style grating and the vast majority of the content is just spam and affiliate links. BUT. When they cite sources and state something definitive like this about products which are (or are not) in the pipeline, they are always right. Always. You can nitpick all you like but there will not be an XE4, and you’re kidding yourself if you still think there’s any doubt about that.

Are all X-E3s made in China?

At least in the near term it's more likely the rumors are correct.

I would bet there will be an X-E4 "someday", but probably much longer than the usual three to four year cycle.

That I can see.  Possibly even a different series with a similar design.
