Minolta A2 and British Soldier Lichen

My A2 is my truck/kayak/backup camera.  Even when I have another with me it goes along.  I was kayaking today and came across this colorful Lichen growing on a stump covered by a fallen tree.  The main camera I had with me had a 75-300mm lens and wouldn't focus close enough to see through the pile of branches.  So I used the A2 macro for one shot and I could still focus closely enough when using the normal lens.

Great shots, and the KM comes to the rescue!

I used to see this type of lichen when hiking in the mountains here, but lately (last 3 or 4 years) it is rare. Just like the "Chicken of The Forest", it also has become rather scarce. I guess it could be a climate thing with both or lichen in general.
