Smallrig are good. I had one for the X-T3 very well crafted. Great price as well.

How about an L-Bracket for the G9 with battery grip attached?  Anyone?

Those who are uncertain of the usefulness of more expensive L-Brackets should try a cheap universal bracket on E-Bay or similar. the only snag being that the LCD cannot be swung into a horizontal position to one side as most such brackets do not have a cutout.

It's stated to be Arca-Swiss compatible. But while it fits my RRS clamp, it is too wide for my genuine Arca-Swiss clamp, and cannot be slid into a clamp (its rail has stops so it can only be top-loaded).

I agree, that has been my experience with both (G9 and A7RIII) Smallrig brackets I own. While my Three Legged Thing ballhead clamp jaws open wide enough and lighter Vanguard head only just makes it, unfortunately a newly acquired Benro geared head doesn’t accommodate the oversized Smallrig L brackets, but will for all my other arca-Swiss style plates and brackets. While I use a variety of 3rd party heads that claim to be Arca-Swiss, the fact that they don’t fit your real Arca-Swiss clamp, proves that they are not Arca-Swiss compatible, just a poor approximation of the standard.

Shame though, as otherwise I find all my Smallrig gear to be excellent quality!

I have this L bracket from Smallrig

has opposed to others, it fit's my arca swiss compatible tripod, a Benro Travel Angel series.

however for some reason it does not feel right on my hands on y G9, not sure if  weight or balance but I did not adjust to it yet, after several tries, I always remove it... anyone has similar feeling ?
