A beast, in every sense.

At 1450 euros Canon Italy warranty was almost a steal (well, almost...).

It's heavy and big and expensive and has no IS, you can also argue with the barrel coating chosen by Canon. It has a lot of vignette @f1.2.

Well, that's it. I cannot think to any other cons.

The pros are: crazy sharp @f1.2, from center to borders of the frame, fast AF, very very precise also without eye-AF, for what concerns me very good and smooth "bokeh" with no underlinings, yes it's not the RF 85 f1.2 but it is nice with some character for a 50 mm. Very well controlled CA, a hint of bokeh fringing but very well controlled @f1.2. It is heavy but the weight is distributed from the middle of the lens to the back so I find it quite balanced on my RP (I use it with the extension grip).

At the end the only problem is the size and, to some extent, the lack of IS.

A great lens from Canon.

I don't see any trace of the Canon RF 50mm F1.2 L USM dropping to 1400€ on Amzon.it on Keepa or CamelCamelCamel, even refurbed...

Usually I post my pictures on Flickr or on my FB page, I will think about posting here. If I will load some pics I will tell you. The problem is that only raws can tell the truth.

The RAW files are never displayed, though.  So whatever truth they hold that doesn't come through in the final photo is kinda moot.  However, you can post png files from RAW conversions, as opposed to jpgs, and they will contain a few more bits of "truth" than the jpgs.

Obviously raws are never displayed, so I will load other formats, just have patience

Just send me your RF 50 / 1.2L -- I'll figure it out for myself.
