It looks pretty close to ready. I've seen an early design in person, but seeing it in hand gives a much better idea of size. I'm really looking forward to see how it performs.

Get that big honker anywhere near your GM5 and it will tremble in fright so much that no amount of image stabilization will be enough.

The strap fitting looks odd compared with the conventional design on the mock up.

I've been shooting all day with my PL100-400 and after a 5 minute shift, my arm begins to ache.  So probably a good job my finances wont stretch that far.

Re: Another photo of the new 150-400mm

But Still

400 / 4.5 is 89 mm

600/6.3 is 95 mm

And 500/5.6 pf is 89 mm

Costing

$ how much?

$2000

$3600

Respectively

So cheaper than an equivalent Canonykon then.

I'm also wondering just how far away it is because of the huge price drop on the 300mm f4. It's down to £1620 on Amazon, and elsewhere, and is giving me serious GAS but I want a zoom for the flexibility.

Trade-off is longer range vs. 1/3-stop slower max aperture

Cheers.
