Enjoyed the photos.

Great track Lakeside and great to see cars and bikes still running there. Lakeside’s future looks promising.

Was that a QEMSC day ? I must get to another event there again soon.

Regards Ian Colley

Yes, it was a QEMSC ride, they used to be on Thursday afternoons but got moved to Saturday afternoons after complaints from the locals, those very same locals that moved there in the full knowledge that there was already a racetrack in the vicinity...

Sad really isn’t it, that’s pretty much what shut down Surfers International Raceway. It was a great road racing circuit, with drags and a short circuit speedway facility. Hopefully Tony Quinn ends up buying Lakeside and QR and has the funds to sort all the whingers out.

Regards. Ian Colley

Yes, it is pretty sad. Surfers was already gone when I moved to Aus in '96 but i knew about it and had seen videos back in the uk as I was an avid follower of Australian bike racing back then, the swan series and castrol 6hr in particular.

Finally!

I managed to get tickets for the Ferrari Club Competizione meeting at Croft, my first meeting in 2 years due to Covid restrictions in the UK. Th meeting was sold out Pre booked but I would guess only around a 1000 tickets sold, and we even had to provide our names at the gate.

A few shots from the SCCA NW Region Pacific Grand Prix, held at Pacific Raceways near Seattle at the end of May:

Note the "Virtual Backseat Passenger"!

Slow but fun to watch!

Nice!

Looks like the Mini was taken from the hillside above turn 3A. What about the others?

I have lots of images to sort through from today. I'll post some as I work through them.

Nice, the second shot looks as though you were pretty close to the track.

Nice - I have a weak spot for Alfas (note to self - never buy a car at night....)    The lifting front wheel reminds me of the images of Rindt driving a GTA.

I see, I presume you have a press pass or something to be allowed to shoot from there, looks like the majority of the spectators are on the outside of the circuit.

Nice shots, excellent sharpness for that shutter speed.

Is that an old Ducati 999?
