Excellent! In particular I like the silver Ferrari 250 (?) coming through the trees at speed.

Good work!!

Thank you!

Yes it's a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta. The sound of its V12... goose bumps!

Thanks.
Yup, all with A7R IV and 135mm GM.

I have not put my 100-400mm to work yet. Not sure if I should even keep it.

2021 season about to get under way here in Aus, Sth East Qld for me.  Our club track days have started already and calendars for the Hillclimbs, Circuit racing and Jetboats have been posted (for the most part). Happy Days !!

Hopefully others will be back at it soon too.

Was just looking at some jet boat photos for a "waterwall" theme. Here's a couple.

Good to see some motorsport around the world. Sadly I see little chance of it in the UK this year. Keep posting.

First Hillclimb for the year is usually a "Come and Try" morning and then a "Test and Tune" after lunch.

Newbies get to walk the track with a few regular drivers to see how steep it is and discuss the quick and safe way around.

The afternoon is then spent with regular competitors going for a fang. The 1st competition round is the 1st weekend in March.

Great series of shots! You may guess that the MK1 Escort is my favourite.

No sign of spectators allowed at UK motorsports yet although it’s still early in the year so fingers crossed!

thanks blokes, it sure is nice to be back at the track and with a reasonable sort of calendar of events coming up at this point in time.

Hope you get some normality back to motorsport events soon.

Very impressive outfit and even more impressed that you are driving around Oulton Park - one of my favourite circuits.

The main circuit hasn't changed much since my first trip there in 1968 except for new corners just before Knickerbrook. The circuit is great from a photographer's point of view as there is limited catch fencing and plenty of different locations to stand. Whilst non championship F1 meetings were held in the 60s today most of the UK elite championships visit but not international championships, which require acres of run off areas and catch fencing, so mainly go to Silverstone.

They still hold an annual Gold Cup meeting which originally was for F1 cars in the 60s but is now for historic cars (mainly 50 to 80s).

Pedro Rodriguez 1968 Gold Cup

Last year's meeting included a couple of old CanAm & F5000 cars which were a sight, and sound, to behold on such a narrow track!

If you had been driving virtually in a McLaren and looked to the right you might have seen me taking this shot!

Thanks for the note Kae1. Yes, I love driving my sim on Oulton Park and have dreams of some day visiting the track to photograph. When I drive my sim I often think of areas around the track I could shoot from.

Your photos are great. Thanks for sharing. The shot of Rodriguez in '68 is amazing.
