Resurrecting a thread from March 2020 - wow - the before times!

I get why some, probably most, prefer an EVF and that’s fine.  The EVF has lots of practical advantages and I wouldn’t be without one these days myself.  BUT I also love the immediacy and “reality” of the OVF - to actually witness with my own eye what’s in front of my camera l, rather than simply a picture of that - so I’ve long been addicted to Fuji’s hybrid finders and would be lost if they ever stopped making them.

The framelines make perfect sense to me.  Parallax exists and can’t be designed out without a mirror (or EVF) so of course the framelines and AF indication have to reflect that, in my view they do a good job.  Certainly good enough that I have a pretty good idea at this point where my focus point really is before they move.  Generally speaking I’m probably shooting in the OVF 80% of the time, and loving it.
