Anyone who wears glasses & has used both the X-Pro2 & 3?

If you wear glasses & have used both the X-Pro2 & 3, I'd like to know which one you prefer. Thanks very much!

X-E3 opinions also welcome.

I am right-eyed.

One of the main reasons I sold my XPro-2 to purchase an XPro3was the new viewfinder. It was a leap of faith as I had not tested an XPro-3 before purchasing it. But, I had read reviews that reported an improved EVF

i am an eyeglass wearer and for me the EVF gives me an improved view. It seems to my optically corrected eye brighter, and larger. I will say that when I adjusted the EVF to use larger text, I had to move the viewfinder around my glasses to view all the text  so I went back to the standard size text  of course my particular eyeglass prescription could be the reason for forcing me to used the standard sized text/font

The link below does address the OVF/EVF difference between the 2 and 3

Update: mostly interested in EVF

Yesterday I watched a YouTube review by Gordon Laing that left me with the impression that the optical viewfinder only really works as intended with the 23mm prime, which is NOT the equivalent focal length of my preference. So I guess now I am interested primarily in the EVF.

I have an X-E3, and while the EVF is a touch small, I have no problem using it with glasses. I actually just tried an X-Pro3 yesterday at a camera shop (trying to decide if I want to sell my A7lll), and I found the VF experience quite enjoyable. I had the 35 f2 on, and the OVF with the bright frame line reminded me of shooting my M6. If you’re used to RF framing, you’ll have no issues, glasses or not.

My understanding is that you can use the 18mm if you use the edges of the viewfinder instead of bright lines for framing. Shoot a bit wider and crop in post.

The EVF on the Pro3 is significantly better than the Pro2. In other words it is actually usable.  Even if you mostly use the OVF the overlay in the hybrid finder is much clearer and crisper. You can even use the histogram in the OVF.  With the Pro3 one does not have to use the "enlarger text/symbol option" to see the overlay.

The eye piece of the VF is also a little larger which is helpful for eye glass wearers.

The OVF in the Pro3 works fine and about the same with the 23, 35 and 50/56 as the OVF in the Pro2.  I pretty much only use the OFV on the XPro and have both.  I could use the OVF in the Pro2 with the 90 - but it's like slapping a 135 on a Leica M - it might work but who would want to? My 90 goes on my H1.  The 18 will work find in the Pro3 - although the frame is the frame no bright lines.  But I got used to that using a 28 in my M4 - not a big deal.

So the classic street lenses (18 through 56) work fine in the Pro3 as well as the Pro2.  But with the Pro3, the EVF has been significant improved.

I just find this sort of casual hyperbole so irritating. There is nothing wrong with the EVF on the X-Pro2, it is perfectly “useable”. Yes it’s a little smaller than some, and it’s LCD rather OLED so a little less contrasty etc, and I don’t doubt for a second that the XP3’s EVF is significantly better (although I’m not so sure about the OVF) - but to suggest that the X-Pro2’s EVF isn’t useable is just plain rot and really helps nobody. Other than Fuji salesmen, of course.

Of course the Xpro-2 is a still a great camera! The existence of the Xpro-3 doesn't put it into the "dustbin of history". I had many adventures with it, using both the OVF and EVF. I know what lenses, using OVF, on the Xpro-2 vs. the Xpro-3 supports is a big decision for many photographers.

For me I had to balance all the things I thought I'd like with the newer Xpro-3 vs. my Xpro-2. With my aging eyes the EVF on the Xpro-3 vs. my Xpro-2 tipped the balance.

In the end I opted for the Xpro-3 as I thought keeping both was in fact a bit too redundant. Believe me this is hard as I still have my trusty Pentax ME, and Contax T2 sitting right along the side of my Xpro-3 in the dry cabinet. Again, I'm not suggesting the Xpro-2 is dated.

I won't even get into the economics and spousal ("She Who Must Be Obeyed...") ramifications of keeping both cameras

Good for you and why should I care?  However, with the Pro2 the overlay in the OVF of settings was useless until Fuji released F/W to enlarge them. Fuji must have recognized it was worthless or else they would not have introduced the oversized overlay, now would they?  With the Pro3, the overlay works fine without enlarging. Some things in the Pro2 overlay of the OVF that you might as well forget was the histogram. I is actually useful in the Pro3.

I don't use the EVF much.  I tried it in the Pro2 once and never again.  It was basically worthless.  I'm not a fan of an EVF to start with, but compared to the H1 (which is he same as the T3) - the Pro2 was absolutely worthless for my use.  The Pro3 is actually usable and in a pinch I can slap my 90 on and flip to the EVF and actually have a kit to use when I don't have my H1 with me although I would not go our on purpose to use the EVF on the Pro3.

If I wanted to use an EVF, the Pro2 is not a camera I would buy.  I only bought the Pro2 because of the OVF.  Of course that is my personal opinion but it is also my  money that comes out of my billfold.
