Amazing Lens

I got this lens in 2013... WOW... 7 years ago!

anyway

This lens is just fantastic

I know there is a newer version of this one but I don't see a need to switch.

If I am switching from this lens, I will be switching to the 16-35 GM Sony since I am in this ecosystem now.

This is merely to avoid having an adaptor (currently using the Metabones V5.0)

so yes I am using this lens on the Sony A7 III and the performance is really good. Auto-focus works seamlessly had no issues with it.

sometimes I get a weird dark spot on the top of the lens but adjusting the exposure fixes the issue.

around 80% of my shots are taken with this lens (I like wide angle)

Highly recommended

especially amazing....

if you don't have anything to compare it to. I had the 16-35L II for many years and during its day it was the best UW for canon FF. but the rap on canon back then was they couldn't make a decent UW.

so in these days where canon makes the best UW zooms on the planet it is not amazing. not even close.
