NX500 iso expansion

I was wondering earlier why I couldn't select an iso higher than 6400 and then I eventually found out that it's limited to when iso 6400 is in 'high' continuous shooting mode and iso2560 when it's in normal continuous shooting mode. It'd be nice if manufacturers displayed some sort of message when this happens instead of just greying out the option and leaving us scratching our heads to work out why it won't work. Maybe Samsung will release a software update?🤣

Anyhow, I'm not too bothered by it, as shooting above iso6400 (or even iso3200) isn't fantastic, but it did make me curious as to why shooting in continuous mode would prevent selecting the highest isos?

Just guessing, but maybe there's more noise reduction being done at the high ISO settings so the camera physically just can't keep up with the continuous frame-rate !?!

That's a good point I never thought of that. I wonder if it's still the case if you turn NR off?

Interestingly the same is the case with the NX1 and I only just realised that the NX1 does not have such a large iso range compared to the NX500.
