Olympus PEN e-Pl6 shutter count menu repeat access

Hi

I managed to get into the shutter count menu by going settings>spanner>lcd settings and then pressing info and ok however I now need to look at that menu again and following the same process again doesn't work. Can you only access this menu once?

The full sequence for shutter count access is long and complex and involves some key presses that don't show a response on screen. It's possible that you went wrong somewhere without realising. One wrong press and it doesn't work (and it doesn't tell you why).

Hmmmm, surely after 5 months the OP has sorted it out.

It certainly is endlessly repeatable and I found that it seems to take a moderately slow and steady pace of pressing the buttons to have 100% success time after time. Do it too quickly and it seems to fail.
