I'm still getting the hang of it all, I like the 56mm but I feel spoiled by the EF-M's short MFD, that the 56mm doesn't really have.  I would have loved it more if it was around 10 inches shorter than it is.

but it's a fantastic lens.

Do you have in your mind a lens that has such a short MFD as a 50mm prime lens? Or are EFM zooms like 15-45 and 18-55 better at their tele-end in the regard?

I've had the 30mm since release. Here are some of my favorite shots.

Shot wide open at f1.4. The white floodlights show heavy purple fringing.

11 months old. Her first time walking outside.

Handheld panorama of nacreous clouds.

It almost never snows where I live, but photos like this make we wish it did.

LOL.  I live where it snows 6 months out of the year (Upper Midwest US).  I’d love it if it only snowed on Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve is the middle of summer here, so the only chance of a white Christmas is from hail.

When I say hardly ever, I don't mean once a year. I've only seen snow three times in my whole life. I hate cold weather, so I'm glad I don't live where you do.

Hail falling in our garden 4 days before Christmas. (Not shot with a Simga EF-M lens as there are none available in South Africa yet.)

It was -19 F here yesterday morning when I woke up!

Ouch!  That’s not fun either!

I can't imagine what that's like. Don't want to either.

I don't think it's ever dropped below +20 F here.

Fortunately it doesn't happen very often. But we did have one terrible hail storm in 2007 that broke 13 windows in our house.
