NX System Listed on Ebay at Very High Price

I wouldn't recommend buying it though, it seems vastly overpriced to me. He is selling, "

1) 30mm f2.0 Prime: 5 elements in 5 groups (including 1 aspherical element).
2) 45mm f1.8 Prime: 7 elements in 6 groups.
3) 60mm f2.8 Macro ED SSA OIS: 12 elements in 9 groups, with 1 aspherical and 1 ED glass element.
4) 85mm f1.4 ED SSA: 10 elements in 8 groups, including one Extra Low Dispersion lens.
5) 16-50 f2-2.8 S ED OIS: 18 elements in 12 groups with 3 Aspherical elements, 2 ED elements and 2 XHR elements.
6) 50-150mm f2.8 S OIS: 20 elements in 13 groups, with one XHR (eXtreme High Refractive) and four ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements.
Now to pricing. New the NX1 bodies sold for about $1600 (some are still available for this price); grips, if you can find them for $350; 30mm, $350; 45mm, $450; 60mm, $750; 85mm, $1200; 16-50mm, $1200; 50-150mm, $1600. (The footplate alone for the 50-150mm zoom sells for $100.) Since the 60mm macro, 85mm f1.4 portrait and the 50-150mm f2.8 zoom are rare, they're commanding greater prices than their original purchase price.
EXTRA (photos can be provided):For the ultra-wide angle range, the following lens (non-Samsung) is being included in this system:
1) Rokinon 12mm F2.0 NCS CS Ultra Wide Angle Fixed Lens for NX-mount ($250, value). This lens can be useful for astrophotography. This lens also has no defects (dents, scratches, dust, or fungus) and functions well. This Rokinon is manual focus.
For a smaller form factor, these lenses will also be included, in the system:

Yes, he is asking 9750 USD, and some of those prices are crazy for 2020. I don't think anyone is buying an NX1 on Ebay for 1600 unless they're a sucker, you can get a working NX1 for 625 right now (Jan 28th, 2020: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-NX1-Mirrorless-28-2MP-4K-Digital-Camera-Body-Only-W-Battery/352945253946?epid=219509992&hash=item522d2d2e3a:g:ndwAAOSw25VeKhyG). The NX1 1600 original price was with included 16-50 f/2 wasn't it? And the grip, both of which he prices out separately. E.g. Only thing he has that I need for my NX collection is an original lens hood for my 50-150.

So... am I sitting on an NX gold mine or does no one buy at anywhere near these prices?  If I am sitting on gold mine, should I sell now or hold?    Will they become more collectible or will prices plummet as they start becoming obsolete?  I'm keeping my NX gear no matter what, just curious what people think of these prices.

I've seen many listings for NX kit at super inflated prices.

The key is to look at the completed listings - I can guarantee that none will have actually sold for that price.

You can ask anything you want....doesn’t mean anything. I have actually purchased most of that list in the last year....probably spent a little over 3k Canadian. But on a Toronto website someone is asking for an nx300 three times more than the other ads. So it just sits unsold. Such is life.

nx1 user can still be purchased for reasonable prices. But the nx500- people wNt crazy amounts for them.

There was an NX1 for sale on eBay today, complete with both s lenses and vertical grip. I was interested mainly to have a spare NX1 body and the 50-150mm lens so I placed my bid with 10 seconds to go. At that time it was at £709 but as soon as I placed my bid (£995) the price shot up and it ended up selling for £1170, which is still a decent price.

Hopefully I'll find that elusive 50-150mm again..

That sounds like a steal still. I too want the 50-150mm quite badly. I think the only way to afford it is in a bundle and sell the rest.

Yes, it's hassle though, and no guarantees you'll get the price you want for the rest of the kit.

I had the 50-150mm a few years ago and picked it up cheap as it had a scratch on the front element. Only got rid of it as I wasn't using it much - really heavy and the focal length wasn't the most versatile. But the IQ was great and now I'm craving it again!

I just need to find the lens hood for it... Because I got my 50-150 from the parts distributor and it didn't come with one.

It lives on my NX1, sure, 150 isn't as long as the 200, but the sharpness over the 50-200 is worth it every time with 28 MP to crop into.

I'm more of a fan of the 16-50, which lives on mine, but we're all different! I don't shoot longer than 50mm usually but when I did use the 50-150mm for that I was very impressed.

You can pick up another hood for around £20 which is expensive but I've seen worse.

Where from?  The last time I looked I couldn't find any separated from their lens.  Not that a backup 50-150 would necessarily be a bad thing, but those do make 20 sound cheap.

It was on eBay when I was searching for 50-150mm lenses. Typical that now I can't find it, I think it was an original as well.

I'll need to keep looking periodically, I missed it.  I would probably pay as high as 50 for it because I just can't find one. Maybe I can get it from the parts distributor if I can just figure out the part number.

Having the 16-50 and the 50-150 would cover the whole range of what I intend to shoot. I do like the 45mm though. Having had the 16 and 30mm lenses, I can do without those, though the pancake form factor is good to fit an nx500 in your pocket.

I agree it'd cover most of my uses too. Having said that I do like the 45mm, and the 60mm, the 10mm, 12-24mm and 85mm!

I could do without the 16mm and 20mm, although there is something special about the 30mm...

The 30 would be perfect if it had a mf switch. I do want the 85.... But for now I have a rokinon 85. And of course I want the 12-24. But I have a 10mm rokinon for now for wide. Some day I want all the lenses 😁
