Portrait Session - chicks for free!
1

My father-in-law always had chicken. They are almost like family members and are never eaten. Most of the 12 or 15 birds he currently has are content with staying in their yard, where they have abundant food and drink available.

But some of them have this urge for freedom and manage to pass over the fence, roaming the perceived infinity of the garden to cater for themselves.

Here are some portaits of those adventureous birds that I took last year.

I'm the boss

I'm still the boss

... but I'm telling you what you have to do!

Wrong side of the fence

Cheers,
Holger

Not as winsome as dog portraits but still fun.  Thanks

Wunderbar, Holger!

My sister has a few hens (no cock, after the neighbors complained about his early morning serenades), but her son has a lot, including a cock, and turkeys as well!
