Plugging headphones in camera to hear yourself

Hi, i have a problem with the canon 750D. I have a tamron mic which is plugged into the 3.5mm jack. I bought an adapter male to female thats plugged in the a/v . When i plug in my headphones into the female 3.5mm adapter, I still cant hear the any audio in the headphones from the mic.

Does any have a resolution?

The 750D doesn't have a headphone jack. The only solution that would let you use headphones is to buy a camera with a headphone jack...

Is there any adapter I could use?

Not that I'm aware of.

Maybe if you connect your camera to your phone then use your phone headphone jack?
